The Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Coupe was given the nickname, the Uhlenhaut Coupe, named after the former head of vehicle development and creator of the 300 SLR, engineer Rudolf Uhlenhaut. Two coupes were built using the 3.0-liter, straight eight-cylinder engine and had a weight of just under 2,500 pounds.
